Currency Exchange
Currency
exchange - For arriving
international passengers a
currency exchange booth is
located within the baggage
reclaim area as well as out
in the public arrivals hall.
For departing international
passengers a currency
exchange is located in the
departure lounge.
Shopping / Dinning
Automatic
teller machines, mail box
and a range of shopping and
dining options are available
within the terminal
Public Amenities
Public
amenities including toilets,
showers, disabled amenities
and baby change rooms are
also available.
Porterage Service
Porterage
service is also available by
prior arrangement (one week
in advance) and will cost
A$1.10 per bag
Terminal Transfers
A
five-minute walk along a
covered walkway connects the
domestic and international
terminals., or for a cost of
A$2 per person passengers
can use the shuttle bus
service.
PARKING
Short-term and long-term
parking is located adjacent
to the passenger terminal.
The public car park is run
on an automatic system and
is no longer manned by
staff. On entry to the car
park you are allocated a
ticket. This ticket needs to
be paid only when you are
departing the airport (not
on arrival). When paying
your ticket you will need to
pay at the pay stations
located outside of the
international arrivals hall
and next to the taxi ranks.
TRANSPORT
Bus services
Most of the
hotels in cairns offer a
courtesy shuttle service to
and from the airport, please
check with your
accommodation provider to
arrange this service.
Australia
Coach operates an airport
shuttle bus service to
hotels and the city centre -
fare A$7.00 per person and
children under 14 travel
free.
Coral
Coaches operates a service
to Port Douglas - cost is
A$25 per adult. Both
companies pick up
immediately in front of the
arrivals area at both
terminals and both operate
an information desk within
the terminal, which if not
staffed, have direct-dial
telephone.
Taxis
Free taxi
telephones are located in
the arrival halls and the
taxi ranks are immediately
outside. The average fare to
the city is A$12.00.
